Robin’s Story

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things

1

Robin was born and bred in Ipswich and is currently working as a postman. He also does acting part time and played a super fan in the film Bohemian Rhapsody.

Robin’s Dad passed away in 2017 on Christmas Eve after having hospice care for the last eight days of his life.

“The reason I have decided to leave the hospice a gift in my Will is because of the wonderful care the hospice nursing team provided for Dad.

“As a family we feel we could not have asked for anything more than the skill, love, attention and specialist care the hospice team gave to Dad.”

How a gift in your Will can help

Our inpatient unit provides intensive care and support when it is needed most, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The hospice currently has 18 beds at our inpatient unit on Foxhall Road, Ipswich, which is made up of wards and single rooms. We also have six beds in Beccles Hospital.

Your support will give people dignity and choice in their final days, and enable them to make the most precious time with their families.

Your gift can also help patients and families who might be struggling with living with a terminal illness and making important decisions, as well as those who are bereaved, by enabling us to provide counselling, art therapy and music therapy.
