Len’s Story

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things

Len’s working life was in information technology and financial services. Len is currently a volunteer driver for the hospice, a role he thoroughly enjoys.

“Hospice care had been a tremendous comfort to my family and friends, and I was incredibly impressed by St Elizabeth Hospice and all that it was affording those in the latter stages of their life.

On reviewing my Will a few years ago and as I am always mindful that I or my family may yet again have cause to seek the help of the hospice I took the decision to make the hospice one of the charities I would financially support; every little helps.”

How a gift in your Will can help

Our day services team provide a day care facility which offers a range of activities and socialising opportunities for patients, and gives them the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation. It also offers their carers some valuable respite time.

Day patients can also access outpatient clinics, complementary therapy as well as access to the therapy gym where our hospice therapy team help them to rebuild strength and muscle tone which they may have lost during their illness or treatment.

The hospice also offers limited day services to patients in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
