Westerfield Residential Home Celebrates 7 years of Accreditation

Westerfield Residential Home, Ipswich, has recently celebrated 7 years of being part of St Elizabeth Hospice Care Home Accreditation.

The accreditation is awarded by St Elizabeth Hospice and is tailored for care homes and care agencies that wish to improve their delivery of palliative and end-of-life care services.

The renewal of the accreditation coincides with Westerfield Residential Home’s 2026 landmark year, celebrating its 10th year as a care home, this April.

Currently, more than 10 care homes in Suffolk and North East Essex are part of the accreditation, with training provided by the Hospice Education team.

It demonstrates to families and professionals that those with the accreditation offer good professional standards in end-of-life care provision.

St Elizabeth Hospice supports care homes in Suffolk, whilst St Helena work with care homes in North East Essex.
