Kirkley Manor Care Home gains Hospice Care Home Accreditation

05 August 2026

Kirkley Manor Care Home, Lowestoft, has recently celebrated gaining the St Elizabeth Hospice Care Home Accreditation.

The accreditation is awarded by St Elizabeth Hospice and is tailored for care homes and care agencies that wish to improve their delivery of palliative and end-of-life care services.

Kirkley Manor Care Home is the first to be awarded the accreditation by St Elizabeth Hospice in the Great Yarmouth & Waveney area.

The accreditation recognises the home’s commitment to providing compassionate, person-centred care and was presented during a special ceremony in Kirkley Manor’s Memory Garden.

This achievement reflects months of dedication, learning, and collaboration between the Kirkley Manor team, St Elizabeth Hospice, and Kingsley Healthcare’s Learning & Development team.

Together, they have strengthened their expertise in personalised end-of-life care, communication, and emotional support, ensuring residents and their families receive the highest standard of care when it matters most.

Home Manager Sarah Blackburn said: “I am very proud of the staff for their achievement. This accreditation reflects our deep commitment to ensuring that every resident receives the highest standard of care, respect and compassion at the end of their life.”

The team and residents at Kirkley Manor Care Home celebrate their recent accreditation with a visit from hospice Director of Care, Lisa Parrish.
