Donate in Memory

Donations in memory of loved ones play a key role in supporting our care across our region.

Whilst flowers will fade with time, donations made in memory of loved ones will continue to benefit the lives of our patients and their families not only now, but in the future.

Discover ways you can donate in memory of your loved one below.

Funeral & Memorial Collections

Donate in lieu of flowers

Many families choose to request donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral or memorial service, creating something positive at an incredibly difficult time.

Request Funeral collection boxes

We can also provide collection boxes to use at a funeral or memorial service, for donations to be made.

To request these or for more information, please contact our dedicated In Memory team

Funds raised help us provide care to patients and families across East and Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney. All generous donations will make a difference to our services. Thank you for thinking of us at this time. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Donate by cash or cheque

Cash & cheques can be dropped off at 565 Foxhall Road main reception. Please write the name of the person the donations are for on the envelope. Alternatively, cash can be transferred via BACS directly to the Hospice bank account.

QR Codes & Gift Aid

A QR code can be created from the tribute page and shared in the order of service, making it easy for friends and family to donate online in memory.

Guests can simply scan the QR code to visit the online tribute page, make a donation and leave a message of condolence, with the option to add Gift Aid to increase the amount their gift at no extra cost.

Your funeral director or our team are happy to help you set this up.

Set up an Online Tribute Page with MuchLoved

A lasting place to remember

An online tribute page provides a quiet, lasting space to remember your loved one. Share photos, stories and reflections, and invite donations in their memory if you wish.

You can create a tribute page at any time, whether your loss is recent or many years ago.

Creating your tribute page

Creating an online tribute page offers a personal space to honour and remember someone special. You can include photos, videos, messages and even favourite songs, building a page that reflects their life and the memories you hold dear.

In your own time, you can add to the page as often as you like. It may remain private, or you can share it with family and friends so they can revisit memories and contribute their own messages of love.

If you are fundraising for St Elizabeth Hospice in their memory, the page can also be used to collect and track donations in one place.

If you would like support setting up a tribute page, please contact us.

Attend & dedicate at our events

Throughout the year, we have opportunities to come together to remember loved ones.

Suffolk Remembers

Taking place on 21 June each year, tying in with Suffolk Day, we come together to mark Suffolk Remembers.

Open to all, regardless if you have had access to hospice services, the free event takes place at Felixstowe Seafront Gardens where you can dedicate a candle to celebrate the life of your loved one. All the candles are placed in letters spelling out ‘Suffolk Remembers’ in a poignant display.

Daisy Day

Daisy Day is our In Memory event aimed for our supporters in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.

Taking place at Memoria, Waveney Memorial Park in Beccles, we first held in the event in August 2024.

Daisy Day is a chance to remember your loved one/s with special daisy markers in tribute to those who are sadly no longer with us.

Light Up a Life

We understand that the loss of a loved one can be felt more deeply during Christmas.

Our Light Up a Life services in December offer a chance to remember and to be supported by the hospice.

We offer a free church service at St Mary-le-Tower in Ipswich, usually taking place in the second weekend of December.

We also offer an intimate and informal service in the garden at St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich so we can remember together.

Remember at Midnight Walk

Our popular Midnight Walk event in May is a great way to remember your loved one whilst fundraising for St Elizabeth Hospice.

Open to all, many people dedicate their walks to loved ones who have been cared for by the hospice directly or simply in memory of their loved one, regardless if they have had care from the hospice. It is an event for the whole community.

Since 2023, our event, taking place in Ipswich, has seen photos of loved ones projected onto the University of Suffolk building, making an emotional focal point of the sponsored walk.

Material Memories

Material Memories is a unique way to remember a loved one.

Your loved one’s clothes are captured in a beautiful keepsake handmade bear to treasure every day & reminisce.
