OneCall provides quick and appropriate advice to members of the public, patients, relatives, carers, medical professionals and social care workers.

Who do we help with OneCall?

Whether it is for a patient facing a new symptom, a carer ensuring they give the correct dosage of pain relief or a GP with a query, OneCall is there to support everyone in our catchment area.

Most callers can be helped over the phone, however in some instances a caller may be offered a visit due to urgency and need.

St Elizabeth Hospice was among the first hospices in the country to set up an advice line which reaches out direct to the general public, as well as healthcare professionals, on the subject of specialist palliative and supportive care. It is the first service of its kind in East Anglia.

Access OneCall via video

If you would like to arrange a video call for end-of-life and palliative care support, please contact the OneCall number on 0800 567 0111.

The team will then send over a web link for you to access Attend Anywhere – a video consultation platform used by the NHS and St Elizabeth Hospice.

Once you enter the online waiting area, the health service is notified and the clinician will join you when ready.

There is no need to create an account. No information you enter is stored.

SignVideo

SignVideo is a remote interpreting company offering Video Relay Services, Video Remote Interpreting and BSL/English Translation Services.

By clicking on the button below, deaf BSL users will be connected to a professional BSL interpreter who will relay their call to your contact centre team; this will also be available on the SignVideo app.

The link acts as the “call” button for deaf BSL users and carries a unique identifier which shows SignVideo that the call is generated for St Elizabeth Hospice. The call will progress in much the same way as a hearing call.

St Elizabeth Hospice require no specialist equipment, training or skills. It is just another call. From there, the call can be re-routed accordingly to the appropriate department or staff member.

Most importantly for my family and I, has been knowing OneCall is there for us if we ever need guidance or advice. It is such a lifeline and makes you feel safe in the knowledge that support is there when you need it.
