This is our regular round-up to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our wonderful community fundraisers.

Each year, it costs around £12 million to deliver all our care services and to run the organisation. 30% of funds are commissioned by the NHS and 70% of our funds have to be raised by us, with the help of our passionate supporters.

Jess Grant Celebration

It was wonderful to welcome trustees of Jess Grant Celebration to our recent Zest Music Day. Set up in memory of Jess, and inspired by her love of music, the charity aims to improve the well-being of children suffering from medical conditions by supporting the provision of music therapy. Since2021, Jess Grant Celebration has awarded more than £11,500 to support group and individual music therapy sessions for Zest and we’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing support.

Helen and Felicity

Helen and Felicity organised a Summer Solstice Sunrise Pilates session, they held the event in memory of Collette Green and Jack Carpenter. It is the second year they have put on the fantastic event in aid of the hospice. They raised a fantastic £1,230, well done!

NFU Mutual

In July we welcomed team members from the Ipswich Agency for NFU Mutual, who have chosen St Elizabeth Hospice to benefit from a generous award of £7,899 from NFU Mutual’s Agency Giving Fund. These vital funds will go towards refurbishment works planned for the Ipswich Inpatient Unit at Foxhall Road. We’re incredibly grateful to the whole team and we’re looking forward to celebrating with them as they continue to support St Elizabeth Hospice in the year ahead.

Ann & Maggie

Ann Mckay and Maggie Bale organised an art sale and auction displaying and selling the original works by local artist – May Nesbit, NizzybitsART. May was a self-taught multi media artist, using reclaimed wood, slate, paper and metals and inspired by the colour, natural form and quirkiness of nature she created her unique pieces of acrylic on canvas, watercolours and wood sculptures. Well done to everyone who supported the event, it raising an incredible £2,498.77.

Hadleigh and District Flower Club

Hadleigh and District Flower Club raised a fantastic £1,000 from their charity lunches and chose to donate the funds to the hospice, in memory of one of the club’s members, Lorna Hill.
