Thank You! – Fundraising Round-Up
This is our regular round-up to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our wonderful community fundraisers.
Each year, it costs around £12 million to deliver all our care services and to run the organisation. 30% of funds are commissioned by the NHS and 70% of our funds have to be raised by us, with the help of our passionate supporters.
Ipswich School
Ipswich School have been fundraising for the hospice over the last year, so far raising an incredible £3,058.70. They held a Holden House fundraiser, had a Senior School dress down day, held collections at Chapel and also had a Chapel Craft Event. The school have spent a lot of time crafting and making items which they will be selling at Suffolk Dog Day – make sure you pay their stall a visit!
Knights Lowe Golf Day
Knights Lowe hosted their annual Charity Golf Day, raising an amazing £1,230, contributing to a fantastic £3,103 total raised this year so far. It was a brilliant day filled with friendly competition and plenty of golfing talent.
Kesgrave High School
Year 8 Kesgrave High School students chose to fundraise as part of their PSHEE, putting on a community fayre with lots of stalls and games for the year 7 students. The hospice was named by many of the students as their chosen charity for the donation. They raised an amazing £248.38 in approximately 40 minutes!
