Classics at Woolverstone Raises Over £17,500 for Hospice

Over £17,500 has been raised by much-loved Classics at Woolverstone in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.

Held on 6 September at Woolverstone Hall, the classic vehicle show and family fun day saw hundreds of car enthusiasts enjoy a range of classic cars, supercars past and present, commercial vehicles, heritage steam vehicles, military vehicles and motorcycles on display.

This was the first time the event has been held at Woolverstone Hall. It featured live music, a wide range of food and drink stalls, children’s attractions, auto jumble and trade stands, with renowned actor Sean Blowers officially opening the day.

Helen Dawson, Senior Public Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “A huge thank you to the Classics at Woolverstone team for raising such an amazing amount in aid of our vital services.

“Classics at Woolverstone was just a brilliant event, enjoyed by people of all ages and the whole hospice team is so grateful to everyone who attended and supported the day.

“Every pound raised helps our teams provide compassionate care and support to local people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, across East and Mid Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.”

All ticket proceeds and donations from Classics at Woolverstone go to St Elizabeth Hospice, which every year provides support to over 4,000 patients & families living with life-limiting illnesses in East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

Annually, these services cost around £12 million to deliver, with 70% of these funds being generated by the local community’s support of the hospice’s income streams. For example, retail shops, events – such as Classics at Woolverstone – individual fundraising, as well as gifts in Wills and donations.
