Proudly sponsored by Gladwells Pet and Country Stores & Skinners, Suffolk Dog Day is returning for another year! St Elizabeth Hospice will be hosting this much-loved family friendly event at a brand new venue.
Join us at Trinity Park, Ipswich on Sunday 31 August to celebrate all things canine. Tickets go on sale on Thursday 15 May 2025.
There will be plenty of fun dog classes with great prizes, agility, dog scurry and lots of attractions and trade stands to keep everyone entertained. Gates open to the public at 10am and close at 5pm. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go to St Elizabeth Hospice’s care in the local community.

- Over 50 stalls to treat your dog – selling everything from dog accessories to toys
- Have a go areas – fun activities for you and your dog to try out
- Crufts style competitions
- Demonstrations in agility and training from industry experts
- Competitions to enter with your dog – best rescue, best senior, best puppy, best fancy dress to name a few!
- Children’s activities to keep them entertained
- Catering village & bar to enjoy throughout the day

Trinity Park has a disabled parking area for people attending the event, however it is limited so we advise arriving early. There are accessible toilets on site. The terrain at Trinity Park is on level ground and is mainly grass.

Tickets can be booked in advance on our website at a discounted rate. Alternatively, tickets will be available to purchase on the gate, however we strongly advise booking tickets online to take advantage of the discounted pre-booking rate and to secure entry to the show on your day of choice.

Yes, we offer free entry for carers. You will need to book disabled/access tickets for the person in your group and the carer/s will receive complimentary entry.
This event is designed for you and your dog to enjoy together. There are a few points to remember though; All dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. If your dog is being handled by a minor please stay with your child and dog. Please do not bring bitches in season. Don’t forget your poo bags and please clear up after your dogs. All dog owners are responsible for their dogs at all times. Please be sure that your dog will enjoy attending an event that is busy with other dogs and humans.
As of 1st February 2024 it is a criminal offence to own an XL Bully dog in England and Wales unless your dog has a Certificate of Exemption. If your dog has an Exemption Certificate (covering Third Party Public Liability insurance, neutering, and micro-chipping) you can attend, however your dog MUST be muzzled and on a lead at all times. Please note that your dog will be unable to take part in any off-lead have-a-go activities. You can familiarise yourself with recent Government guidelines on Animal Welfare and potential breed restrictions here.
Yes, all dogs are required to be on leads during the show. If you want your dog to have a good run we recommend prebooking a time slot in the Walkies Field.
We will have water bowls all around the show. We do recommend you still bring travel bowls for your dog.
Absolutely! If you are unable to bring your own dog, you can still come along and join in the fun. The Suffolk Dog Day Show is a great day out for dog lovers and there will be lots for you to enjoy including plenty of doggy shopping (plus its great fun watching the dogs take part in the classes and have-a-go areas).
Registration for our Dog Show classes can be done during purchasing your tickets on line. Otherwise you can register on the day. Registration closes 30mins before each class start time. You can enter as many classes as you like as long as the class isn’t full and your dog fits the category; for example a puppy couldn’t enter the veterans class and vice versa.
Yes there are plenty of fun have-a-go activities happening all day for you and your dog to take part in.
We have different experts at the show who will be happy to discuss any problems you are experiencing with your dog, as well as professionals on the stage welcoming questions.
Yes – we always have Nightingales Vets available for emergencies. Not for on-going medical conditions.
Yes you will find all the latest products available for your dog from beds to leads and treats to toys. Almost anything your dog would love.
Although the majority of our exhibitors will have card machines, we always advise bringing some cash with you just in case as sometimes signal can be temperamental.
Yes, we always have a range of caterers at the show offering hot food and refreshments. If you have specific dietary requirements, you are welcome to bring a picnic to the show.
No, we are proud to offer FREE parking to Suffolk Dog Day. Please follow the directions from the car park marshals on the day and only park in the designated event car park area or you could be charged.
Yes, blue badge parking is available at all of our events, however it is limited so we advise arriving early.
