Further to the announcement last month that we will be expanding and delivering services in Great Yarmouth & Waveney from 1 April 2019, we’re pleased to create two new locally-based fundraising roles to help support the delivery of the new services.

We are now actively seeking an Area Fundraising Development Manager and a Community Fundraiser for Great Yarmouth and Waveney (both full time and to be based within the community) in order to grow income and awareness for St Elizabeth Hospice locally. St Elizabeth Hospice will be delivering vital end of life care and support for families living with a terminal illness in the area for the next seven years under a new contract, effective from 1 April 2019. The change will bring together services in a much more joined-up way and will have a greater focus on patient outcomes across Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

Felicity Rook, Head of Fundraising at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “It’s fantastic news for the communities of Great Yarmouth and Waveney that we will now be delivering consistent palliative and end of life care from the first of April.  A very important part of delivering this care is having a strong fundraising team in place to work within the local community to develop robust income streams to support these services.

“This is a really exciting time for St Elizabeth Hospice – and for Great Yarmouth and Waveney, which desperately needs these services. I’m really looking forward to expanding my team to cover this area and invite applications from anyone who’s passionate about end of life care and thinks they can make a big difference within this local community. Fundraising experience isn’t essential although the ideal candidates will have experience in sales, business development or marketing.”
