Palliative Care Emergencies (2025)
Aims of the session are to consolidate knowledge about the palliative care emergencies.
Learning outcomes are:
- Recognise the signs/symptoms of five common palliative care emergencies.
- Describe how these emergencies can be managed.
- Explain the general approach to decision-making in these situations.

It is important for Hospice Education that we are able to include everyone with different backgrounds and make the education experience accessible for all. If you have any special requirements or need any reasonable adjustments to be made please email training@hospiceeducation.org.uk in advance of attending the training.
Parking
Parking is limited at all 3 hospice sites so we ask that you park in accordance with the highway code as poor parking creates a reputational risk for the hospices with our neighbours . Due to the residential location of St Helena Hospice, please take note of restricted parking areas along with overflow parking option and footpath route to the hospice. Thank you for your consideration.
Cancellation Policy
Please contact us at the earliest opportunity. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for the cancellation of our courses. For cancellations within 48 hours of the event, any course fee paid will be retained. Fees will also be retained if you do not attend the session on the set date. All courses are subject to change or cancellation suitable notification will be provided
