Willows Care Home latest to achieve accreditation
The Willows Care Home in Ipswich is the latest care home to be recognised by St Elizabeth Hospice’s care home accreditation scheme.
The home has been working with the hospice for the last eight months to improve the quality and standards in their end of life care for residents.
The care home is the fourth to achieve the accreditation after completing the supported self-improvement programme with the hospice education team.
Mark Millar chief executive of St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “The Willows should be extremely proud of this achievement as it recognises the hard work and attention to detail the care home and its staff have shown to raising the standards of their end of life care.
“During this short period of time, the care home has worked closely with our team of experts and have taken on board the steps to make this already excellent care home an even stronger team.
“The team were especially pleased with their creative work approach as well as their focus and commitment to their residents and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them.”
Kelvin Freeland, Manager of the Willows Care Home Kelvin Freeland, said: “We would like to thank the team for working with us over the last few months. Thanks to their support and guidance we now have the assurance that we are providing the best care and support to our residents.
“I would recommend the accreditation scheme to any care home looking to build their confidence as the support has been invaluable to our staff.”
