What will you do today for the future?

28 February 2018

Those who have a Will in place know that it’s one of the most important things they can leave behind for those they love. If you haven’t yet made a Will, throughout May, one local charity will be working with local solicitors and will writers to make the process easy and accessible.

St Elizabeth Hospice has joined up with 16 solicitors and will writers across Suffolk to offer a will writing service to local people. Each organisation has dedicated a number of appointments throughout the month where they will offer their services free of charge. In return, they ask those who make a Will with them to make a suggested donation to the hospice so the charity can continue to help local people living with a terminal illness.

Lynn Maskell, legacy officer at St Elizabeth Hospice said: “If you haven’t made a Will yet, it’s important that you do. A Will means that your family knows your last wishes, including how you want your estate to be divided. Regardless of the size of your estate, having a Will can make life easier for those left behind.

“Appointments do fill up fast so, if you’d like to take advantage of this offer during Wills Month, please contact your chosen solicitor or will writer as soon as you can.”

Donations received as part of Wills Month will enable the charity to continue to offer care to those who need it across Suffolk. Just £125 (the suggested donation for a single Will) could help pay for three bereavement therapy sessions for someone who has lost a loved one.
