The Hares Are Coming! Latest Hospice Art Trail Launches Saturday

17 June 2025

Only a few days remain until the hares of St Elizabeth Hospice’s latest fundraising art trail – Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 – hop into the region and make Suffolk their home for the summer.

Running from 21st June to 29th August, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 is the fourth art trail hosted by the independent Suffolk charity.

As well as being hosted in Ipswich, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 will be the first hospice art trail to extend to satellite locations across the county, including Beccles, Felixstowe, Lowestoft and Woodbridge – thanks to the support from presenting partners East Suffolk Council and Suffolk County Council.

The trail will be officially launched by Ipswich’s Deputy Mayor, Pat Bruce-Browne, Saturday morning at Hop HQ in the former Superdry store located in The Buttermarket.

Created in partnership with Wild in Art, the art trail will see 33 large, ornately decorated hare sculptures take over Ipswich for the summer, each featuring unique designs.

Meanwhile, there will be a mix of 52 large and small hares located throughout the satellite locations, for the community to enjoy.

Celia Joseph, Community & Projects Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “Our Hop to it! hares are nearly here, and we cannot wait for the whole community to see their fantastic artwork.

“There is a real buzz about the hospice as we get ready for Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 to hit the Suffolk streets, bringing colour and creativity to the area.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 and hope we can make this our biggest and best art trail yet!”

Coinciding with Suffolk Day on 21st June, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 is set to be the hospice’s biggest art trail yet.

All funds raised by Hop to it! Suffolk 2025, and accompanying fundraising activities, will go towards supporting the work of St Elizabeth Hospice.

An independent Suffolk charity which every year delivers support to over 4,000 people throughout East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.

Annually, these services cost around £12 million to facilitate, with 70% of funds needed being raised through local community support.
