Only a Few Weeks Until Christmas Day Dip!
Only a few weeks remain until brave ‘dippers’ take the plunge for St Elizabeth Hospice as part its annual Christmas Day Dip.
Now in its 21st year, and a Christmas tradition for many, the event sees hundreds of participants don festive outfits before heading into the icy North Sea at Felixstowe.
Their sponsorship helps raise vital funds for the independent Suffolk charity, which provides free care each year to more than 4,000 patients and their families across East and Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
Tickets are currently on sale to purchase for £16 until 23 December – while on the day registration will also be available.
James Fox-Golding, Events and Challenges Manager at the hospice, said: “There are only a few weeks left until our Christmas Day Dip, so make sure to book your places!
“For many it is a Christmas tradition, while for others it will be their first time as a ‘dipper’, but it is always an event filled with festive fun as the community comes together with the hospice to raise vital funds. Every donation helps our team support those under our care when support matters most.”
St Elizabeth Hospice’s Christmas Day Dip 2025 will take place on Christmas Day at 10am, opposite Mannings Amusement on Felixstowe seafront, with on the day registration open from 8.30am.
Funds raised through the Christmas Day Dip will go towards the hospice’s Christmas fundraising campaign, Be a Star, which helps the hospice support hundreds of patients and their families over the Christmas period.
