Hospice to Host Farewell Weekend for Art Trail Hares!

St Elizabeth Hospice is bringing the Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 hares together for one final time this September.
With the Suffolk-wide art trail finishing on 29 August, and before the hares find their forever homes at the Hop to it! Suffolk auction on 17 September, a special Farewell Weekend will be held on 6 and 7 September. As part of the event, all 131 hare sculptures will be gathered in one place for public display at Ipswich Corn Exchange.
Taking place 10am-4pm across the weekend, with a SEND quiet sessions held Sunday 3-4pm, the Farewell Weekend provides the perfect opportunity to have final look at the hares, catch a glimpse of sculptures you haven’t already seen and tick them off on the all-important trail maps and app.

Celia Joseph, Community & Projects Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “Wow what a hare-mazing summer, full of colour and creativity.
“We have loved every minute and want to make sure our hares have the perfect send-off, so please join us at our very special Farewell Weekend event in September.
“The Farewell Weekend is a great way to see any of the designs you missed all in one place or catch a final glimpse of your favourite hares before they are auctioned off, later in the month, to raise vital funds for St Elizabeth Hospice’s services.
Held between 21 June to 29 August, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 is the fourth art trail hosted by the independent Suffolk charity.
As well as being hosted in Ipswich, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 is the first hospice art trail to extend to satellite locations across the county, including Beccles, Felixstowe, Lowestoft and Woodbridge – thanks to the support from presenting partners East Suffolk Council and Suffolk County Council.
All funds raised by Hop to it! Suffolk 2025, and accompanying fundraising activities including the auction on 17 September at Milsoms, Kesgrave, will go towards supporting the work of St Elizabeth Hospice.
An independent Suffolk charity which every year delivers support to over 4,000 people throughout East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.
Annually, these services cost around £12 million to facilitate, with 70% of funds needed being raised through local community support.
