Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 Auction – Your Chance to Own a Hare Sculpture!

After filling the region with colour and creativity this summer, the hares from St Elizabeth Hospice’s Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 art trail are set to find their forever homes as they go under the hammer in a fundraising auction.
Taking place on 17 September at Milsoms, Kesgrave, the Hop to it! Suffolk Auction will see art trail fans, hospice supporters and trail sponsors come together to bid for the uniquely decorated hare sculptures that brought plenty of fun to Suffolk this summer.
Held between 21 June and 29 August, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 is the fourth art trail hosted by the independent Suffolk charity, with all funds raised by the trail and the auction going towards supporting the work of St Elizabeth Hospice.

Celia Joseph, Community & Projects Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “It has been a brilliant summer and the Hop to it! team have loved seeing so many people and children having so much fun hopping around Ipswich, Beccles, Felixstowe, Lowestoft and Woodbridge in pursuit of the hares!
“We are grateful to all the support we have been given by local businesses to enable us to make this happen. It’s been wonderful to see photos on social media of people of all ages exploring local towns as they ticked off hares on their apps and maps.
“There are still a few tickets remaining for our fundraising auction. It promises to be a fantastic evening, so do grab your ticket and hop along. Who knows – you might be lucky enough to take home a unique piece of artwork on one of our stunning hares with a winning bid!”
The auction follows the recent Farewell Weekend, held at Ipswich Corn Exchange on 6 and 7 September, which saw all the trail hare sculptures gathered in one place for public display.
Across the two days, over 2,700 trail fans attended to catch a final glimpse of their favourite hares or to tick them off on the all-important trail apps and maps, all while helping to raise more than £8,500 via entry fees and donations for St Elizabeth Hospice.
Farewell Weekend Highlights
An independent Suffolk charity, every year the hospice delivers support to over 4,000 people throughout East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.
Annually, these services cost around £12 million to facilitate, with 70% of funds needed being raised through local community support.
