Tammany, an Ipswich-based artist and former maths teacher, captures subjects’ essence through loose, experimental oil paintings, specialising in portraits and figures. Tammany aims to inspire others through her evolving, self-taught practice. Fascinated by the beauty of science, her designs blend nebula imagery with quantum physics and particle theory patterns. Her stargazer hare symbolises this connection, inspired by physicist Oppenheimer or Hedy Lamarr, inventor of frequency hopping, the foundation of Wi-Fi.
