Volunteer Role Description
St Elizabeth Hospice have a stall at Lowestoft Christmas Light Switch On, Saturday 29th November and we will be based on Lowestoft High Street near Waterstones ready for the big switch on at 5pm. We are looking for volunteer support throughout the day.
- Helping on the stall
- Running the Higher and Lower game or the Teddy Tombola
- Holding collection buckets
If you are available from 9am – 2pm and/or 1.30pm – 6pm we would love to hear from you, but any help is appreciated!
No experience necessary — just a friendly attitude and willingness to get stuck in!
St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.
At events we use photography and video to help promote the event and also to create memories for those who take part. This comes from a wide range of sources (including other participants and spectators) on a voluntary basis and is sometimes not arranged by St Elizabeth Hospice. Publicity consent is not sought at events; however, if approached by a photographer or videographer we would ask that you participate in good spirits, if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please politely decline when approached or bring the matter to the attention of a member of our staff. We do, however, reserve the right to use footage or images supplied to us where you might be included.
Please note: Volunteers must be 14 or over, and if under 18, accompanied by an adult.
