Join Walk On for our family-friendly walk at Rendlesham Forest

Walk On is a free walking group run by volunteers on behalf of LivingGrief, the bereavement service at St Elizabeth Hospice.

Open to all bereaved people in Suffolk, even if you haven’t accessed hospice services before, the Walk On group explores local places and the countryside to boost wellbeing and mental health.

On Friday 30 May 2025, we will be hosting another family-friendly walk – this time at Rendlesham Forest for a three mile walk, starting at 11am. The walk will take between 60 and 75 minutes to complete. Afterwards, everyone can enjoy picnic refreshments and use of the play area.

Rendlesham Forest is signposted from the B1084 (IP12 3NF). Please park at the car park closest to the forest office and bring your own picnic/ refreshments for after the walk. Toilets are available. Please note, Rendlesham Forest is a bin-free location, so please take any litter home.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join too!

This walk is specifically for bereaved children, young people and their families. It is a chance for families to come together, enjoy a peaceful walk, and then share refreshments afterwards. All children/young people attending must be accompanied by an adult.

Ahead of the walk, please register below so we know to expect you and you can detail emergency contact information.

If you have any queries on the walk, please call Dennis or Sarah on: 07731 997683
