A super simple idea: local restaurants, pubs and coffee shops are backing St Elizabeth Hospice this summer by prompting customers to add an extra pound to the tab and donate it to the hospice.
The full list of participating eateries signed up to support the hospice so far are:
Arbor House, Aldeburgh Market, Blends Coffee House, Fish Face, Kings Coffee House, The Salutation, The Orwell Hotel in Felixstowe and the Deben Inns Group: The Maybush Inn, The Coach and Horses, The Wilford Bridge, The Butt and Oyster, The Swan and The Fox.
Jazmin Peach, fundraiser for St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “This is a really easy way for local restaurants, pubs and coffee shops to get behind a good cause and encourage their customers to be generous and support the hospice, too.
“We’ve launched Dine and Donate with the support of our sponsor, Thomas Ridley Foodservice, and are really pleased to have 12 local businesses involved already, with a huge thank you to the Deben Inns Group for committing six of their pubs to support Dine and Donate this year. We would love to have a few more businesses get involved – there are no limits or restrictions whatsoever.”

Thomas Ridley Foodservice said: “We are proud to be supporting the Dine and Donate event for St Elizabeth Hospice; an incredible charity that does fantastic work in our local community. We are very pleased to be sponsoring this important initiative to help raise as much money as possible for this outstanding cause. This project is a great way for the general public to know they are making a difference whilst enjoying their meal with family and friends’.
Arbor House special charity offer: £1 from every beetroot risotto and stack burger sold until 14 August will be donated to St Elizabeth Hospice.
The Arbor House has put a different spin on Dine and Donate and has chosen to donate £1 from the sale of two special dishes on their menu, the beetroot risotto and stack burger, until 14 August and will be encouraging customers to donate as well if they wish. The Arbor House said: “We chose to support Dine and Donate because we have experienced first-hand the amazing work of the hospice staff and their volunteers. We are proud to raise money and awareness for such great cause.”
