About the hospice and work experience placements
Thank you for considering St Elizabeth Hospice to complete your work experience or Duke of Edinburgh placement. If your application is successful, you will be joining a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who aim to improve life for people living with progressive and terminal illness. We are an independent charity which provides its services free of charge.
We hope to be able to provide you with an interesting and varied placement, which will enable you to discover how the hospice provides its care. We do ask that you consider your application carefully, as we get many requests for work experience and Duke of Edinburgh placements; once we receive your application, we will invite you for an informal interview; then inform you whether you have been successful or not; if you are successful we will organise a schedule for the dates you have requested.
Many students choose to continue volunteering for the hospice after work experience or Duke of Edinburgh, if you would like to do this, please speak to the volunteer team at the end of your placement.
