Zest Hosts ‘Spooktacular’ Day of Halloween Fun

31 October 2022

A group of witches, skeletons and monsters could be seen attending Zest this Halloween, as the Zest young adults enjoyed a ‘spooktacular’ day of Halloween fun this October.

To mark Halloween 2022, the Zest team transformed Ridley’s Atrium into a Halloween haven, full of scary decorations and petrifying pumpkins.

There was lots of fun to be had as well, as the young adults took part in Halloween themed activities such as pumpkin carving and painting, a scavenger hunt, Halloween cakes (kindly provided by Anne, Josh’s carer) and pumpkin rolling, among many other frightfully fun games.

“What a brilliant way to start the Halloween weekend!” said Jodie Horwood, activities coordinator at Zest.

“Our Zest young adults have loved taking part in the spooky fun, donning their own outfits and getting fully into the spirit of Halloween.”

Part of the St Elizabeth Hospice Group, Zest provides specialist medical and social support services to young adults living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses, while also ensuring the smooth transition from children’s hospice into adult care.

Held every Friday, from 10am-4pm at St Elizabeth Hospice, Zest Days are dedicated to Zest young adults aged 18 upwards, offering nurse-led specialist day service provision and the opportunity to take part in fun group sessions that can be enjoyed by all.
