Wear your Christmas jumper to support your local hospice
Take part in Woolly Pully week 2018!
A local charity’s festive fundraiser returns this year and aims to get us all in our Christmas jumpers to raise money and support those facing Christmas with a terminal illness.
St Elizabeth Hospice has today launched its third Woolly Pully Week which will take place from Monday 10 December to Sunday 16 December and is calling on local businesses, schools and groups to pull on their Christmas jumper and support the work they do in the local community.
Shay Abdul, corporate account executive at the hospice, said: “Taking part in Woolly Pully Week is really simple. All people need to do is request a free fundraising pack from us, promote when they’ll be taking part in Woolly Pully Week and collect in everyone’s donations.
“The event was incredibly well supported by the local community last year and raised over £28,000 for the hospice. This year we want to encourage even more people to have some festive fun and support the charity in this way and our fundraising pack is crammed full of ideas to maximise the money raised during Woolly Pully Week.”
Schools, groups and businesses are already pledging their support to the hospice and almost 100 fundraising packs have already been requested.
The headline sponsor for this year’s event is Canine Creche who, will not only be sponsoring the event, but will be getting fully involved in the festive fundraiser. Candace Rose, founder of Canine Creche told us “We are delighted to support St Elizabeth Hospice and agreed to be their headline sponsors for their Woolly Pully campaign as it really resonates with our brand.
Wearing a Christmas or festive jumper is a fun thing to do and it’s now become something you expect to see during December either at work or school or even at a party at home. At all of our Creches we will be supporting this event with the staff and of course the dogs all proudly wearing festive jumpers!”
An addition to the headline sponsor Woolly Pully this year also has daily sponsors that include Attwells Solicitors, Ensors and the St Elizabeth Care Agency.
