Walk over hot coals for the Hospice
Join us for a Halloween party with a difference.
On Saturday October 29th, St Elizabeth Hospice is holding its second annual Firewalk where Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell will be showing people how to walk over hot coals.
This sizzling family event will have a Halloween theme and takes place at Kesgrave Conference and Community Centre in Bell Lane, Kesgrave.
There will be entertainment for children and adults alike and those who cannot pluck up the courage to do the Firewalk can attend the event to spectate and enjoy the fun.
The Hospice’s Senior community fundraiser Rachael Mittell said: “This is the ultimate
challenge for fearless fundraisers, walking between 15-20ft over hot coals at 550 degrees C. Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell will show you how to go about it, it’s all about mind over matter, and will raise money for a good cause.
“Last year’s event was a great success and we already have people queuing up to test their mettle this year. So bring along your family and friends and have some Halloween fun.”
People doing the Firewalk are asked to raise sponsorship as well as paying the £30 registration fee to enter. Participants must be 16 years old and over.
Tickets for the party are just £5 and under 16s are free!
Last year’s Firewalk raised around £7,000 and organisers hope to top that this year. All proceeds will help St Elizabeth Hospice, a charity which costs £6.6million a year to run, to continue to provide its services free of charge in Suffolk.
