Town players give Hospice a Christmas boost
Ipswich Town football players brought some Christmas cheer to patients at St Elizabeth Hospice.
Captain David Norris, goalie Arran Lee-Barrett, defender Gareth McAuley and midfielder Jack Colback visited patients and their families, signed autographs and handed out presents on Tuesday 14th December.
They dropped in on the day care Christmas party before visiting the in-patient unit and finding out St Elizabeth Hospice seeks to improve patients’ lives.
Staff and volunteers were also able to meet the players and get memorabilia signed.
The football club has organised an annual Christmas visit to the Hospice for many years and the gesture is warmly welcomed by staff and patients.
Jane Petit, St Elizabeth Hospice’s chief executive, said: “Ipswich Town Football Club has always been supportive of the Hospice and we are grateful they have taken time to come and visit our staff, patients and volunteers again this year.”
