Teams wanted for the Turners Hyundai Accumulator Challenge in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice
Organisations are gearing up to battle it out to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice to win the Turners Hyundai Accumulator Challenge 2015 – and there is still time for more teams to sign up.
The three month challenge will see businesses and groups being handed £50 which they then have to turn into as much charity cash as possible in any way they can – as long as it is safe and legal!
So far, ten teams have pledged to take part, with more expected to join this exciting challenge over the next month.
Brian Taylor, partnerships fundraiser at the hospice, said: “The more teams signed up, the more fun the challenge will be for all involved.
“The Accumulator Challenge offers many benefits for those taking part: it’s brilliant for team building; there will be plenty of networking opportunities; great publicity opportunities; lots of healthy competition; and it raises vital funds for your local hospice – so what are you waiting for? Join us and be a money maker!”
This is the hospice’s fourth Accumulator challenge, which has raised more than £45,000 for the hospice and this year the event is being sponsored by Turners Hyundai.
Those who sign up will be invited to the launch at the Turners Hyundai showroom on Friday 18 September at 11.15am, where Ian Turner, owner and managing director of Turners Motor Group, and Ben Gummer, MP for Ipswich Central, will present teams with their £50.
Mr Taylor added: “In the past we have had teams come up with some really fantastic and innovative ideas to raise money for the hospice, including the Great Suffolk Bake Off, sponsored leg waxes, sleep-outs, and a flashmob – to name a few – and we’re looking forward to seeing what brilliant initiatives teams come up with this year!”
