Supporter runs an incredible 100k ultra marathon to raise funds
A huge congratulations and thank you to Sam Woor. He completed the SVP100 (a 100km ultra marathon – 63 miles – from Newmarket to Brantham) and has raised over £1450 for the hospice.
You can find out more about his challenge and perhaps add to his total on this JustGiving page – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/s-woor
“It went really well (and I’m defining really well as surviving it!) Running from Newmarket to Brantham was hard work and I couldn’t believe how much pain I was in the next day. Conditions weren’t great because of a few really heavy rain storms during the day and having to run through lots of mud and flooding but the support from the volunteers was great- lots of good food and drink to keep as going as well as hand sanitiser and social distancing to keep us safe. I didn’t think I would ever be capable of running such a long way (having only started running a couple of years ago) but the generosity of everyone who donated to the hospice kept me going up all the hills and through the flooding!”
