Recruiting 1,000 Suffolk Santas – all in a good claus!
Wanted – 1,000 Suffolk Santas to give St Elizabeth Hospice a Christmas gift of care.
Registration has opened for the Hospice’s brand new fundraiser Suffolk Santas – our biggest event of the year after the Midnight Walk.
Tis the season of goodwill and we aim to recruit 1,000 people all willing to have a ho ho whole lot of fun and dress up in a Santa suit on the same day to collect donations from their friends, colleagues, neighbours, relatives and community groups.
Each Santa will be asked to give up as much time as they can spare between the hours of 8am and 8pm on Friday 26th November to take to the streets and collect as many donations as they can from their local community or workplace.
It is just £5 to register and you will be given a Santa suit, collecting bucket and identity badge.
By collecting just £65, each Santa will be funding 5 minutes of St Elizabeth Hospice care. Suffolk Santas is supported by Town 102.
Suffolk Santas’ event organiser Rachael Mittell, of St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “For one day only Suffolk Santas will take to the streets spreading goodwill and collecting donations to help give St Elizabeth Hospice a Christmas gift of care.
“This is a simple yet fun way of raising money to help us continue to provide specialist services and support.
“Why not get a group of friends or relatives together and take to the streets en masse – or just wear the Santa hat at work and take the bucket round to your colleagues who with the festive season approaching should be in giving mood!”
The race is on to find our 1,000 Santas who must register by November 19th by visiting downloading the Suffolk Santas registration form, emailing fundraising@stelizabethhospice.org.uk or calling 01473 723600. This event is open to over 18s only.
