Patients benefit from the introduction of new integrated laptop trolleys
Doctors and nurses at St Elizabeth Hospice can now update electronic patient records at their bedside, thanks to the purchase of five integrated laptop trolleys that were generously paid for by the Company of Barbers.
The trolleys provide nurses on the inpatient unit and in the day care service with wireless access to patient record systems whenever they need it. This means that clinical staff can now consult and update patient records on the ward as well as in back offices, enabling the team to spend more time with their patients.
Dr Tim Cutler, the Master at the Company of Barbers was given a demonstration of the trolleys during a visit to the hospice, showing the difference they are making to hospice staff and patients.
The Company of Barbers are a City of London Livery Company whose members are mainly from the medical profession.
