New business initiatives launched
St Elizabeth Hospice has launched two new initiatives for local businesses: ‘Networking for Good’ and ‘Business Rocks’.
The first ‘Networking for Good’ breakfast meeting was held at the Hospice in Foxhall Road, Ipswich, in March, which was well attended by 20 representatives from local companies around East Suffolk.
The ‘Networking for Good’ meetings are open to anyone and provide a great, regular opportunity to network with other local businesses.
They will be held once a month at the Hospice, with a different guest speaker giving a presentation at each meeting.
Entry to the networking meetings is £10 including breakfast, but if your company signs up for the Hospice’s new Business Rocks initiative, it is free to attend.
Business Rocks will see local companies pledge to be a rock of the community and donate £500 to the Hospice annually, helping to provide essential care and support to people living with a progressive illness.
Businesses signed up for the scheme will be invited to attend St Elizabeth Hospice networking events offering the opportunity to create closer business links with the Hospice and their partners.
Businesses signed up to the initiative will also receive regular updates on how their support is benefitting the Hospice, which can then be shared with staff and clients.
St Elizabeth Hospice is always striving to build mutually beneficial relationships with business partners – whether with small, one-man-band businesses, or branches of national companies.
Brian Taylor, Partnerships Fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We are constantly working to develop strong relationships with people within the community from all types of organisations.
“We want to help educate more people about the work of St Elizabeth Hospice, and show them the difference their support can make to our patients and their families.
“A lot of small businesses want to support local charities, but don’t necessarily have the resources to do so, so we’ve launched these two new initiatives so that businesses of all sizes can be involved.”
The ‘Networking for Good’ meetings will take place on the second Wednesday of every month from 7am – 8.30am. It costs £10 to attend and breakfast is included, with all proceeds coming to the Hospice.
