Mamma Mia Singalong
Tickets are now on sale for a Mamma Mia singalong at the Riverside Theatre in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.
The local charity, and Riverside Theatre, Woodbridge, are putting on a special singalong showing of the popular musical film on Wednesday 23 March at 7.30pm.
All the money raised from the event will go to St Elizabeth Hospice to help provide care and support to local people and their families living with a progressive illness such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
Catherine Sheppard, events fundraiser at the hospice, said: “Mamma Mia is a favourite amongst many musical lovers and we’re sure the tickets for this singalong special will sell in no time, so if you want to come along, you better get yours quick!
“You’re welcome to dress up as well to really get into the spirit of Mamma Mia, and to get the party started, we hope to have a choir join us to start the singalong!”
As well as showing the film, there will be a drinks reception on arrival and a raffle with some fantastic prizes donated by local businesses to raise extra funds for the hospice.
Miss Sheppard added: “We’re really grateful to the Riverside Theatre for giving us the venue, putting on the film for us and for their support. We’re encouraging all the super troupers and dancing queens out there to come along for a really great night out.”
Tina Wiseman, cinema manager, said: “The Riverside are delighted to be showing the sing-a-long version of Mama Mia here again. It’s such a feel good film and we are sure it will raise lots of ‘Money, Money, Money’ for a very worthy cause.”
Tickets are £10 and can be booked online at www.theriverside.co.uk
