Local businesses invited to show off entrepreneurial skills in charity accumulator challenge
St Elizabeth Hospice is inviting local businesses to take part in its accumulator challenge, where they will be given £50 from the hospice and, using their entrepreneurial skills, they will then have one month to use this to raise as much money for the hospice as possible.
The hospice has run the challenge in previous years, and has brought it back as part of its 30th birthday celebrations. The accumulator challenge is an easy and fun way for local businesses to support the charity and is a great way for businesses to engage their staff in fundraising activities.
The challenge takes place during the summer where businesses have one month (chosen by them), between June and August, to grow their initial £50 using their creative skills and business acumen to raise as much money as they can.
Corporate fundraiser, Jazmin Peach said: “The challenge is a great way for businesses to come up with innovative ideas to grow their money. It’s a really easy way for teams to support a local charity in a way that suits them, with an element of friendly local competition. We expect that people will have a lot of fun coming up with ideas to make money.
Support from local businesses is vital for the hospice, and we’re so grateful for the amazing support we get from local organisations each year. We hope this challenge will give companies something to get their teeth into over the summer, putting the skills of their teams to good use.”
It’s not too late for you to sign up, businesses which think they could rise to the challenge can join in by contacting corporateteam@stelizabethhospice.org.uk or call 01473 707938.
