Local business to host fundraising day for St Elizabeth Hospice
Martlesham based digital solutions provider, enable.services, is hosting a fundraising fun day for staff and their families to enjoy in order to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice, which is the company’s chosen Charity of the Year for 2021.
Taking place later this summer, the event will see a number of outdoor games, bouncy castle, raffle and much more entertainment for attendees to enjoy with all proceeds going to the independent Suffolk charity, which provides free services to improve life for people living with a progressive or life-limiting illness throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
Skyla Grimble, Marketing Assistant at enable.services, said: “As a local business, many of our team have personal, emotional connections with St Elizabeth Hospice, so we wanted to give back in any way that we could, which is why we chose the hospice as our Charity of the Year.
“For me personally, I wanted to support this amazing cause as they helped my family immensely when my Grandad was in the care of the hospice.
“Throughout the year, we will be adding to our overall donation with company games and cake sales. We are all looking forward to our fundraising day and we have been so pleased with the many brilliant raffle prizes we have already had donated to us from other businesses throughout Suffolk.”
enable.services has supported the hospice for a number of years in a range of ways. From creating the website for the Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction in 2020, which raised funds for St Elizabeth Hospice’s young adult service, Zest, through to members of the enable.services’ team volunteering their time at the hospice.
They have also created the website for love all auction, an upcoming event later this year that will also support Zest.
Liz Baldwin, Corporate and Sponsorship Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, added: “On behalf of the whole St Elizabeth Hospice team, I want to say a big thank you to the enable.services team for their support and for choosing the hospice as its Charity of the Year.
“The generosity of the local community and businesses such as enable.services allow the hospice to continue delivering its vital care to so many in the local area and we wish enable.services all the best with their fundraising day later this year.”
