Last call for gardeners to join Great Garden Trail
The Great Garden trail runs from spring to autumn 2019 across Suffolk and promises a great variety of gardens for the public to explore in return for a donation to St Elizabeth Hospice.
Over the last two years, the Great Garden Trail has offered the public the chance to discover and admire the gardens of others, with many favourites returning once again this year to showcase their outdoor space.
Last year the trail helped raise a fantastic £30,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice to help care for local people living with a progressive or terminal illness.
Fiona Ginn, community fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice said: “In 2018 we had a very successful year and we’re hoping to build on that achievement as we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year.“We’d love to hear about gardens of all shapes and sizes, from cottage gardens to stately homes, formal gardens to wildlife sanctuaries.
“This year we’re pleased that our trail will feature a number of open village events where gardeners have joined together in their neighbourhood to show off their gardens, so if you would like to open yours as part of a group, we’d love to hear from you too.”
Gardeners have until Monday 21 January 2019 to sign up.
