Hospice’s new event will be fun for all ages

12 August 2016

Suffolk’s first ever Bubble Rush is coming to Christchurch Park at the end of the month and there will be an abundance of entertainment for everyone!

The fabulously frothy event is being brought to Ipswich by St Elizabeth Hospice on Sunday 28 August and there are still spaces left for you to sign up with your friends and family.

With a heatwave expected, the bubbly event is bound to keep you cool as you walk, run, dance or jog round the 5km and pass through four bubble stations where you will be blasted with crazy-coloured, safe, frothy bubbles!

As well as the family-friendly challenge, there will be lots going on in the park to keep spectators and participants entertained throughout the day, including zorb balls, face painting, glitter tattoos, selfie tent, Disney princess meet and greet, bubble blower, Suffolk inflatables, plus plenty of food from Milo’s Sweet Stand and Jo’s Cakes; to Busta Snax and Alexanders Ices.

Joanne Rodger, St Elizabeth Hospice’s events and challenges fundraiser, said: “We are really excited and cannot wait for our first ever Bubble Rush! We already have 1,400 people signed up and spaces are filling up fast.

“It’s looking like it will be beautiful weather and we hope that people coming will make a day of it, taking part in the event and enjoying the brilliant entertainment we have going on as well.

“We are delighted to announce that Wayne Bavin from Town 102’s breakfast show will be our compere for the day, and the roadrunners will also be around to chat to you and take lots of photos!”

There are still spaces left if you would like to sign up with your family or friends and there is no age limit – anyone can take part. The first wave is full, and the other waves are filling up fast, so don’t delay, sign up today. Family tickets are available. Click here to find out more
