Hospice is seeking support to make a noise for community donation
St Elizabeth Hospice is asking supporters to get online to help them win a £1,000 donation from Starbucks.
The local charity is competing in the Starbucks Red Cup Grant challenge and needs the support of the local community to help them win the grant of £1,000.
Supporters just have to follow St Elizabeth Hospice on Twitter and tweet using the Twitter handle @stelizabethhosp and the hashtag #RedCupCheer to help the hospice win the vote and the grant!
You can also follow the hospice’s page on www.neighbourly.com and share the link on your social media pages.
All the shares and follows the hospice gets creates more noise, and gives them a better the chance of winning the money which will go towards improving life for people living with a progressive illness such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure, in East Suffolk.
Felicity Rook, head of fundraising at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to be one of the nominated charities taking part in Starbuck’s Red Cup Challenge this year.
“We would love everyone in the local community to get behind us and get online over the next few weeks to help us win the grant. All you have to do is retweet one of our tweets with the #RedCupCheer or tweet at us @stelizabethhosp and don’t forget to include the hashtag #RedCupCheer.
“The £1,000 grant will make a huge difference and could pay to run our OneCall 24 hour phone line for three days, providing quick and easy access to advice and support from specialist staff to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.”
The #RedCupCheer challenge will run until 6 December when voting closes at midnight.
The value of the Red Cup Grant each charity receives will be decided on the basis of a popular vote conducted on Twitter and neighbourly.com. Social media support will be measured by: total number of mentions for each tweet containing the charity’s twitter handle in conjunction with #RedCupCheer on Twitter.
You can support St Elizabeth Hospice by tweeting @stelizabethhosp and mentioning #RedCupCheer.
