Hospice hosts a menagerie of exotic creatures
Young people at the hospice X-change group were treated to some unusual exotic visitors thanks to the team from NR Exotics.
The group enjoyed handling a variety of snakes, tortoises, lizards and other reptiles. The different textures and characteristics provoked a variety of reactions, and the tension built as one of the snakes disappeared into the clothing of hospice fundraiser Nikki Brown.
The X-change group provides opportunities for young people and their families to enjoy social, sensory and sporting activities while promoting independence.
The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month, and is supported by many excellent volunteers and organisations who share their knowledge, skills and interests to provide a stimulating range of activities.
