First Daisy Day in Great Yarmouth & Waveney
St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice is to hold its first ever Daisy Day remembrance event, in Great Yarmouth and Waveney area, this August.
Taking place on Saturday 3 August, 10am-2pm, in the tranquil setting of Memoria Waveney Memorial Park near Beccles, Daisy Day offers the chance for friends and family to remember loved ones with special daisy markers in tribute to those no longer with us.
The free-to-attend event is sponsored by Memoria Waveney Memorial Park, and will see hundreds of bespoke, handmade daisy markers displayed at the park in colourful wheel barrows next to the water feature, to form a breathtaking scene, with each daisy featuring the name of a friend or relative who has died.
Families and friends are encouraged to join the hospice team for an afternoon of reflection, with refreshments available to enjoy whilst meandering around the garden.
Catherine Sheppard, Individual Giving Manager at St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice, said: “Daisy Day will provide the chance to pause and celebrate the lives of loved ones no longer with us, while we join together with the community in the stunning surroundings of Memoria Waveney Memorial Park.
“We look forward to welcoming all to the event, which is sure to be a poignant occasion.”
