Don’t miss out on early bird tickets for award winning event
There are just over two weeks left for local people to take advantage of a ticket offer to take part in St Elizabeth Hospice’s Midnight Walk.
The awarding winning event returns to Trinity Park on Saturday 11 May and rewinds back to the 80s in celebration of the hospice’s 30th anniversary.
St Elizabeth Hospice is encouraging even more walkers to take part this year and dress up in the vibrant style of the decade for the six or ten mile routes.
Early bird tickets for the event are now just £10 until Thursday 31 January 2019, saving walkers £5. Those purchasing early bird tickets will also be entered into a competition to win afternoon tea for two at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall.
The Midnight Walk is celebrated for its community feel and always creates a special atmosphere, full of glitz and fun, offering an opportunity to reflect and remember loved ones.
It also provides local people with the opportunity to undertake a personal challenge in memory of family or friends while demonstrating their support for the hospice which cares for people with progressive or terminal illnesses.
Joanne Rodger, events and challenges manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We’re celebrating our 30th anniversary this year so we’re encouraging even more people to take part and party with us like it’s 1989, and help to make our 13th Midnight Walk our biggest yet! Last year our 2,500 walkers helped us raise over £230,000 for the hospice – enough to cover the cost of one weeks’ care across the hospice and in the local community.“We’ve had a fantastic response so far from the public for our new 80s theme so we hope even more people can join us with the help of our early bird ticket offer and show their support for their local hospice.”
Further details about plans for the night, including entertainment, will be revealed over the coming months.
The event will be sponsored by Bluebell Mortgages, with the route sponsored by David Button, Independent Funeral Directors.
