Date for auction of Ed Sheeran belongings announced
An auction selling hundreds of personally selected items which belong to international singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran will take place at Bishop & Miller Auctioneers in Suffolk on Saturday 7 December to raise essential funds for St Elizabeth Hospice and its new initiative Zest, which focuses on care and support for young adult patients.
This is the second time the Sheeran family, who are from Framlingham, Suffolk, have kindly donated items to sell in this way for the charity with Bishop & Miller, the leading Suffolk based Auction house.
The auction will be packed full of exclusive items including clothing, instruments and other possessions belonging to the pop star. A full list of all the items being sold will be released later in the year but a few highlights that have been announced already include a Hoax Surf board. Also included in the special auction are shirts, hoodies and trainers all of which belong to the international pop sensation.
Oliver Miller, Managing Director of Bishop & Miller, says: “We’re delighted to team up with the hospice to support Zest, and the Sheeran Family. It’s been special to hear how the money raised in last year’s auction has changed the lives of so many young people in the region, and we have the chance to help more families again.”
Oliver continues: “Ed Sheeran is the most successful musician in recent times and he’s rightly earned a very loyal following so it’s great to be offering fans the chance to own their own piece of musical history.”
Money raised from the auction will go directly to support hospice services, including Zest, which aims to engage younger people in the work of the hospice, and its services for young people in the region who are living with progressive and terminal illnesses.
Helen Finlinson, young adult care and transition lead for St Elizabeth says: “Few people are aware that St Elizabeth Hospice already offers care for young adults in Suffolk from the age of 14 and through Zest we are beginning to expand our care options. We are now delighted to have started supported weekend breaks at the hospice for young adults, giving our younger patients a chance to take a break away from home, enjoy time with friends, while also giving parents and carers some free time. We are already a centre of excellence in the subject of young adult care and currently share our experience and expertise with other health professionals around the country.”
