Classics at Glemham raises over £10,850 for hospice
More than £10,850 has been raised for St Elizabeth Hospice by the much-loved car show, Classics at Glemham.
Taking place on 3rd September at Glemham Hall, the family fun day and car show, featured a range of classic cars, car club stands, children’s attractions, military vehicles, commercial vehicles and motorcycles on display and even a visit from Elvis!
In total £10,857 was raised by the event, surpassing the £5,700 raised for the hospice in 2022, with funds going towards the independent Suffolk charity’s vital services throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
Celia Joseph, community & projects fundraising manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We were bowled over by the donation made in support of St Elizabeth Hospice this year – it was double that from 2022.
“We cannot say ‘thank you’ enough to the Classics at Glemham team, sponsors and everyone who attended and supported the fantastic event this year. Once again, Classics at Glemham did not disappoint it was a fun-filled day for all ages to enjoy.
“Every penny raised will make such a difference to our services and to the patients and families under our care throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney, who are living through difficult times in their lives.”
Planning for next year’s Classics at Glemham, in support of St Elizabeth Hospice, are already under way, with the event being held on Sunday 1st September 2024.
