Care at Christmas
Illness doesn’t stop during the festive season, with around 210 patients and their families being provided care and support from St Elizabeth Hospice in December.
For many of our patients this will be their last Christmas so we want to make it the best we can whilst meeting their medical needs. Our Care at Christmas campaign aims to emphasize the importance of our work here including planning the Christmas catering, activities for the patients, on call rotas and cover from the medical and clinical teams at both the hospice and within the local community.
There are so many ways for you to support our patients this Christmas; from visiting our shops, attending our events, fundraising with your friends and family and donating your time as a volunteer. There’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved.
Care at Christmas events
We have a number of events that you can attend and volunteer for during the Christmas period. This includes Woolly Pully Week encouraging school, communities and businesses to get their Christmas jumpers on while they fundraise, the Christmas Remembrance Service allowing a moment for those wanting to remember loved ones and our final event of the season being the Christmas Day Dip, a morning for those brave enough to run in the sea at Felixstowe whilst raising money.
Getting festive in our shops
Across our 31 shops, Christmas will be in full swing with festive displays brightening up the high streets as well as Christmas cards and merchandise available with all money raised helping us to bring care at Christmas to life.
