Care Agency Pays Tribute to Sam Bojkiw for 10 Years of Service
The team at St Elizabeth Care Agency have expressed their thanks and appreciation for Registered Manager, Sam Bojkiw, who is leaving the Care Agency after ten years of working for the team.
Sam has worked at St Elizabeth Care Agency since the very first day it opened in June 2013. During her the organisation has developed a strong reputation for delivery high quality personalised support to hundreds of clients throughout Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge and surrounding areas, helping them enjoy life independently.
Sam Bojkiw, said: “It has been an amazing experience to work with St Elizabeth Hospice in creating the St Elizabeth Care Agency back in 2013 and seeing it develop and grow over the years. It has been such a pleasure to grow a team of staff that provide excellent services for our clients and bring joy to people’s lives every day.
“I am always proud of the team for everything they do but the proudest moment was to see the agency achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating from CQC – such a well-deserved accolade for the team!
“It has been an absolute pleasure to meet and work with so many people over the last 11 years at St Elizabeth Care Agency. I will miss seeing and working with everyone. Thank you for being such a caring, committed and supportive team. I am so grateful to all the clients and families that have chosen us to provide the care and support needed for themselves and loved ones, it has been a privilege to be a part of so many life stories – thank you.”
Under Sam’s tenure St Elizabeth Care Agency has received a Highly Commended award from the Suffolk Care Awards in 2017 and recently achieved retained their ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission, after a remote inspection by health and social care services regulator in January 2023.
This came following a full ‘Outstanding’ report in 2018 which described the St Elizabeth Care Agency care workers as ‘remarkably kind, caring and highly compassionate’, while the overall service ‘promoted the highest standards of person-centred care’.
Alison Holmes, former Deputy Manager at the Care Agency will be taking on the role of Manager, said: “We are going to miss Sam at St Elizabeth Care Agency so much and we want to thank her for all her hard work over the years, during what has been a fantastic journey.
“Sam has played a big role in the development of St Elizabeth Care Agency, helping colleagues and clients alike, and she has laid the blueprint for what the Care Agency is. We wish her and her family all the best for the future.”
Established in June 2013, St Elizabeth Care Agency is a wholly owned subsidiary of independent Suffolk charity, St Elizabeth Hospice, and all profits made by the agency are donated to the hospice to further its work to improve life for people living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.
The agency supports anyone over the age of 18, including people with learning disabilities or mental health needs. Through providing a wide range of services, such as personal care, support visits and practical domestic help at home, St Elizabeth Care Agency promotes independence by assisting people to maintain the maximum level of choice and control, meaning they can stay living comfortably in their home.
