Can you help make the Midnight Walk the best one yet?

12 January 2017

Join over 2,000 people and have a great neon filled night out by volunteering at this year’s Midnight Walk.

Taking place on Saturday 20 May 2017 and snaking through the streets of Ipswich, this year’s St Elizabeth Hospice Midnight Walk will begin and end at the Cornhill in the town centre. Those taking part will be able to choose whether to walk the six mile route or the 12 mile route and volunteers are needed to look after the walkers along the way.

The local charity is now on the lookout for volunteers who would be willing to help out at their flagship event and ensure this year’s Midnight Walk is the best one yet.

Catherine Sheppard, Events and Challenges Fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “Now in its eleventh year, the Midnight Walk is popular with many people who have memories of the hospice as well as groups wanting a fun night out.

“We hear from our supporters all the time that they just love the Midnight Walk and always have a wonderful night but it’s only thanks to our many volunteers that we’re able to achieve such a brilliant event.

“Many people give up their time to help marshal the course, assisting with refreshment stations, registration and making sure people go the right way. We simply couldn’t put this event on without them and we’re extremely grateful to them all for their support in this way. If you’d like to join in the fun this year, we’d love to hear from you.”
