Book Your Ipswich Half Marathon Place to Raise Vital Hospice Funds

03 August 2022

There is still time to sign up for the Ipswich Half Marathon this September in support of St Elizabeth Hospice.

Organised by Run For All, and sponsored by Larking Gowen, the Ipswich Half Marathon will be taking place on 11th September with St Elizabeth Hospice this year being charity partners.

As charity partners, the hospice has been given 20 places in the run for supporters to register for and show their love for their hospice, by taking on the 21.1km route which runs through Suffolk’s county town.

Joanne Rodger, events and challenges manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We are so pleased to be charity partners for this year’s Ipswich Half Marathon which is being hosted by Run For All.

“We have a limited number of running places available to hospice supporters and the local community, who would like to take on this brilliant challenge in aid of the hospice, so please do register your place now to avoid disappointment and best of luck to all the runners taking part!”

This year’s course will see runners pass down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront and then along Cliff Lane. Continuing around the River Orwell, before heading to Wherstead Road, back along Grafton Way and finishing at Portman Road stadium.

All runners committed to raising funds for the hospice, will be required to commit to raising a minimum of £150 and in order to achieve this goal, they will receive advice and guidance from a member of the hospice challenge team.

“We are thrilled to have St Elizabeth Hospice join us charity partner for our brand new event in 2022 the Ipswich Half Marathon. At Run For All we encourage runners of all abilities to get involved and we hope to inspire people to lace up their running shoes, take on a new challenge and help raise vital funds for St Elizabeth Hospice,” added Kate Lees, Run For All, Partnerships Assistant.
