Be a Hospice Hero for Midnight Walk 2026!

04 March 2026

The local community is once again being encouraged to show their love for their local hospice by taking part in St Elizabeth Hospice’s flagship fundraiser the Midnight Walk, which returns this May for 2026.

Taking place on Saturday 16 May, at Christchurch Park, this year’s Midnight Walk sees the hospice encourage supporters to don their favourite superhero themed costumes as they complete sponsored walks of 6 or 9 miles in aid of the charity.

Sponsored by Knights Lowe, the event will start at Christchurch Park, with the route taking walkers to the hospice grounds where they will be invited to write heartfelt messages in memory of loved ones on a special Memory Wall.

Before continuing through Suffolk’s county town past such landmarks as Ipswich Town Hall, The Regent Theatre and Christchurch Park.

James Fox-Golding, events and challenges manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “Our popular Midnight Walk is returning this May, and we are looking forward to welcoming supporters as they embrace this year’s superhero theme and bring the party atmosphere to Ipswich.

“Every year, Midnight Walk is a highlight in the hospice calendar, with each walker’s steps helping to raise vital funds to support our services.

“Tickets are now on sale, so there is no better time to register, rally your friends and family, assemble your superhero team, and become hospice heroes by taking part in one of the hospice’s best-loved fundraisers.”

With last year’s event raising over £64,000 to support the hospice’s vital services, the Midnight Walk returns for 2026 offering supporters and the local community a chance to party and raise funds for the hospice through sponsorship, as well as an opportunity to remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

Available to all, aged 10 years and older, gates will open from 7pm at Christchurch Park where there will be entertainment and live music to enjoy, plus a chance to buy some extra neon and flashing light accessories from the hospice retail team.

All ticket proceeds and donations for Midnight Walk will go to St Elizabeth Hospice, which every year provides support to over 4,000 patients & families living with life-limiting illnesses in East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
