2019 Christmas Day Dip the biggest one yet!

07 January 2020

For the 16th year running, on 25 December over 600 supporters of St Elizabeth Hospice took part in the Christmas Day Dip, making this our biggest event of the festive season.

With a mince pie waiting for them, we saw people dressed as Santa, Christmas trees, turkeys and penguins line up and run in to the bracing waters at Felixstowe Sea Front. All of which was overseen by their cheering friends and family.

Rebecca Jedrzejewski, the events and challenges fundraiser for the hospice said ‘This was another fantastic year for the dip and it’s amazing to see so many people returning year on year to support the hospice. It really has become part of their Christmas tradition and we can’t thank them enough for their time and dedication to the event.’

‘One of the things that we love about running this event is the atmosphere, not only from the dippers but from their friends and families, who also take time out of their Christmas Day to support their loved ones.’
