Free Will Writing Service

Making a Will is one of the most important ways you can look after the people you love. It gives you peace of mind, ensures your wishes are known, and can make things easier for your family in the future.

That’s why St Elizabeth Hospice has partnered with expert estate planners, Octopus Legacy, to offer you the opportunity to write or update your Will free of charge.

Octopus Legacy makes the process simple and convenient, allowing you to write your Will online, over the phone or face to face.

If you live in England or Wales, you can write your Will online for free, with every Will checked by a qualified solicitor. Support is available throughout the process via telephone or online chat should you have any questions.

There is no obligation to leave a gift to St Elizabeth Hospice when using this service. However, after providing for your loved ones, we hope you will consider leaving a gift in your Will to help ensure future generations of local families can receive the care and support they need during some of life’s most difficult times.

Gifts in Wills help St Elizabeth Hospice continue to provide outstanding care for patients and families across East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney, both now and for generations to come.

The impact of having a Will

We provide care to thousands of people at the end of their lives or those living with life-limiting illnesses across East & Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth & Waveney.

Gifts in Wills are crucial to the survival and growth of hospices across England, Scotland and Wales, providing 15% of the voluntary income that hospices rely on to deliver essential care.

Nick Hayward

The process of writing your Will is quite straightforward. I approached it with clear thoughts about what I wanted to happen and went to see a solicitor with a list of priorities.

Through writing your Will, you gain peace of mind knowing you have taken care of things as best you can and can trust your attorneys to carry out your wishes as fully as possible.

Percy Ungate

It is very important to have your Will in place, as it gives such peace of mind to know everything is in order.

For me, it is a meaningful way to give back to the hospice, to say ‘thank you’ for what they did for me and to help ensure the hospice can continue supporting other families like mine.

Writing your Will doesn’t take long, but it can make a real difference to the hospice and the thousands of people supported by their vital services every year in our local community.
